Universal joint (U-joint) driveshafts provide a cost effective means to transmit power from the power source to the driven machine. Installation time is reduced as the need for critical alignment tolerances required by other types of couplings is eliminated. The telescopic feature eliminates the need for movement of machinery for installation or maintenance removal. The telescopic feature also allows motion during operation or no-load conditions.

SAE Industrial Universal Joints (Spicer)

All Power SAE Industrial Universal Joints (U-joints) also known as Spicer® series are in common usage on over the road vehicles, industrial and off highway applications. They are designed for long life at moderate torque levels though they are capable of withstanding high momentary torques such as those encountered in starting a load or a vehicle moving. They tend to be the most economical solution for applications where minimum swing diameters are not a requirement.

Metric Universal Joints (U-Joints) (DIN)

All Power Metric Universal Joints (U-joints) are in common usage on industrial and off highway machinery imported from Europe. Most recently they have found their way on to equipment made in America to world standards. They are designed for long life at moderately high torques. They can interchange with popular German and Italian universal joint manufacturers. They are an excellent choice for new and replacement applications where high torque is desired within a minimum space.

APTD (formerly Twin Disc)

All Power purchased the former Twin Disc “J line” of universal joints (U-joints) in March 2000 from Twin Disc. Renamed APTD it consists of sizes from J170 through J1200. All Power has revived this rugged long life design retaining its well-known features and adding much needed design improvements. Designed for long life at moderately high torques, they are used on industrial and off highway applications. They are an excellent choice for new and replacement applications where high torque is desired and serviceability and/or minimum length is a major consideration.

Rockford Powertrain Universal Joints (Borg Warner-Mechanics)

Companion Flanges

Nearly all industrial driveshafts are connected to machinery via companion flanges. All Power can supply standard and special companion flanges for our complete line of universal joints (U-joints) plus those manufactured by others. In addition to the typical bore and keyed designs companion flanges can be supplied with spline bores, flatted bores, polygon bores etc. For high capacity or high wear applications All Power companion flanges can be supplied with heat-treated alloys and carburized or nitrided bores.
